The seriousness of drug charges in Derry and other New Hampshire cities is often underestimated. A 36-year-old man was recently arrested during a raid on a residence in Concord. An arrest report indicates that police had information about alleged sales of controlled substances that supposedly took place on two days in April at the particular address. After attempts by several detectives to get the suspect to open the door, they identified themselves and forced their way into the building.
The man was located inside the apartment, and he was arrested on charges of alleged involvement in the sale of crack cocaine and fentanyl to the value of $900. Reportedly, the accused man cannot understand or speak English, and an interpreter assisted during the processing of the arrest. Police said the man claimed to be a resident of another state and denied living at the apartment where he was arrested.
Individuals who are arrested in Derry or other New Hampshire cities may benefit from retaining the services of an experienced criminal defense attorney as soon as possible. The sooner a lawyer can investigate the charges and gather evidence that can support a strong defense, the better prepared the attorney will be.
